Hi, I'm Archie Neal and I'm the Lead Pastor of Life Church. I am primarily responsible for the overall leadership of the church and for the teaching on Sunday. I have a passion to see people reach their full potential and realize their highest purpose.
I was born and raised in Bolivar, Missouri, a small town in the southwest part of the state. In 1975 I moved to Paris, Tennessee where I met my wife, Sheila. We’ve been married since April 1976 and have three grown children and nine grandchildren. (I know that makes me sound old, but actually we just started young.)
My wife and I moved to Danville in April of 1980 and we planted Life Church (formerly known as New Life Christian Center) in December of that same year. From the outset, our dream has been to establish a life-giving, contemporary church where people can connect with God and His purpose for their lives. We want every service to be an experience that people find enjoyable, practical, and life-changing.
I love snow-skiing in Colorado, laying on the beach anywhere it is warm and vacationing with my family.
Hillsong, U2, and various classic rock groups.
Anything on Leadership, the Church and Personal Success.
The Apprentice, American Idol and Minute to Win It!
The Cardinals (You didn't expect me to say the Cubs, did you?), the Bears and Kansas City Chiefs, and the Fighting Illini.
Braveheart, The Bucket List and anything with Anthony Hopkins, Mel Gibson, Al Pacino, or Liam Neeson in it.
Travel, playing softball, and spending time with my family.
People who drive slow in the fast lane, standing in line, and Christians who act religious rather than just being real.
